John try Cannon Auto bodies in Bovey Tracey. Martin has sprayed both my BSA Rocket 3 and 850 Mk3 frame and cycle parts. About to spray my Mk3 tank and side panels. He's into bikes. If you go out to his workshop (opposite the House of Marbles) he often has classic cars prepped for spraying. Last time I was there in December he had an E Type Jag and Austin Healey prepped so is well thought of and trusted. He has a good reputation.

Hi John, don't know if you have found anyone to spray for you yet but I remembered reading a thread a long time ago which might help.

It took some finding as it turned out to be from 2013 so they may be non-existent now but worth a ring.

Evening folks.

I know it is difficult finding good craftsmen these days but I have stumbled across a chap in North Devon who is a wizard with the spray gun. He painted a "99" for me last year - 66 pieces and none lost. The bike was in fair condition but the weather was too cold for me to paint it inthe shed so I bit the bullet and got some body else to do it. The paintwork is excellent , perhaps better than new.

I have just picked up a 650SS from him. It went to him a sad, rusty mess having been lying in a cow shed for 30 years. All the dents have gone, the rust removed and the results perfect. He does his own blasting, priming etc and any welding if required.

I have no connection with this firm other than being a customer highly impressed with the quality of his work.
