Paul Dunstall whereabouts???

While I am aware that Paul Dunstall is no longer connected with motorcycles I am looking to try and contact him to approach him about potentially giving a speech about his past Norton exploits. If any member knows how I might contact him, could they email me please. email: gibbons65@yahoo.co.uk

Unsurprisingly, you are not the first to have tried. As far as I know, Paul Dunstall still lives abroad, has completely severed his connections with motorcycling and unless he has changed his mind, has no interest in talking about his past work.

Back in the late 1990s I contacted Dr. Gordon Blair to see whether we could find out more about the Dunstall Commando 2-1-2 exhaust system that he developed, but was advised that he no longer had any interest in that project and would not be able to help. Gordon Blair (by then Professor Blair) died in 2010.

I have his details because we paid him a license fee when we reprinted his "Norton Tuning" book. Will contact him on Paul's behalf and give Paul Dunstall his contact details. If nothing comes from it at least we tried!

Many thanks Joe. I know he has turned his attentions elsewhere but I'm sure I speak for a great number of Norton enthusiast who would love to have an opportunity to both meet and listen to the great man. None of our Norton heroes are getting any younger. I truly hope he understands the esteem in which he is placed within our community. Paul G

It was Paul Dunstall and John Blanchard that ignited my 'so far' life long obsession with all things motorcycle. As an impressionable youngster I grew up in the next road to where Paul and John both had their respective shops. This was further reinforced when my parents moved house to a stones throw from Joe Francis Motors. it was only ever going to be Norton after that! I remember looking through Paul's shop window when the Bay City Rollers were at No1 with By By baby! Amazing what you remember from your youth. It would be such a honour to have the opportunity to meet the great man. (Not Les McKeown)!
