Just pulled the RH off my 1949 500T,
TYPEFITTED TOLENGTHManx20.375"Short Roadholder21.843"Long Roadholder23.312"Commando23.161"
I was going to fit new bushes etc. On inspection I will now replace the stanchions. These measure 23 1/4 inches. The list for RHs on this board list as above as you can see no 23 1/4. How ever I found ones the right size part No 30457. Have I got the correct ones in my 500T, if not what should be fitted. Thanks

Just to complicate things…
Just to complicate things I think the early Long Roadholders had a different thread on the bottom nut than later Long ones. I met this when replacing my stanchions a few years ago. Suggest you identify the thread first and speak to the supplier. If their stanchions have a different thread you may have to buy matching nuts as well. In my case the supplier (Norvil) was able to exchange the stanchions for the correct ones.

Thanks Ian, mine are 20TPI, I have ordered them from the club spares so will check with them re the thread.
