I am in the process of building aTriton, getting nearer to the end than the beginning. I have a 1957 featherbed wideline frame, number available, as dated by Dave at twin records. I also have a 1955 6T engine which I am putting a 750 conversion on and a 1960 gearbox.
I would like to know what steps and documentation I need to apply for an age related registration etc. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for that info Dan, I don't know if you can answer a couple more questions :
1 Can you insure a vehicle when you don't have a reg. no. ?
2 Do DVLA have a block of age related registrations or do they make them up as they go along ?

You can insure a bike on the frame number. DVLA have unissued registrations which they then issue. Veterans recently registered all have BF nnnn registrations.

Gordon is correct, you can insure on a frame number although many companies will only do it for a short period, so make sure you do it when you are ready to register it. DVL were using unused Scottish numbers Iâm not sure if they still are, my Norton, and Ford Consul before it were MSK

Pay attention to the parts…
Pay attention to the parts you use, and use as many original parts as possible for registration, you can always tinker with it later.
