Multi-point spark plugs

Forums

How good are they?
Rowena and Frank W swear by them.
My '72 Commando starts and runs really well, especially after fitting a Tri-spark ignition system.
However, it is coming up to Christmas, and I might buy the old girl a prezzy, i.e two new plugs.

I have had good results with NGK Iridium spark plugs in each of my Norton motorcycles.  My Mk.III Commando starts and runs reliably and my 1955 single also starts first kick with the same type of plug too.  I don't bother to check or change the plug gaps, they seem to work fine straight out of the box.  Only very occasionally have I received one which did not work.  I know the Iridiums are more expensive but I am happy to pay for reliability.  I don't know what modern Champion spark plugs are like because I haven't used them since about 1984.  Bosch and Denso are also good and the Czech company Brisk make plugs that are very reasonably priced.  Your mileage, and experiences with spark plugs may differ.

these are becoming more widespread, so need to know reliable sellers....such as Green spark plug company, for example.

I agree with Jan, with Iridiums they are easily spotted if you have an original and fake - just hold one in each hand and you'll feel the difference in weight. .
