nearly finished changing my bike back from cafe racer to what i call my Norton mongrel. the tank is just ledged on with no rubbers. still got to finnish off the tool box i call it my consumer unit as all the electrics are in there . still lots of little jobs to put right. i fitted a BSA type seat quite liked the look of it had to make a front bracket for it . ive painted the mudguards with leftover paint from my gates, i used some foam brushes to paint it on. its not an automotive paint so it might wash off in the rain, lol
just trying to put the bike back to some sort of standard without spending to much doing so .

Hi, thanks George, its a (56) 19s frame with a (55) es2 engine it was like that when i bought it . i had the rack from RGM a while ago. i have modified it removing a cross rail that got in the way of the seat fitment and replaced with the two reflector brackets instead of grinding the weld off weakening the rack at that point i added the brackets and some more weld.
i still have the adjusters but they dont seem to sit right on the end of the swing arm they seem a bit like ive made them lol. i will see if i can square them up and refit them

On '56 models the chain adjusters screw into a threaded hole in front of the axle. They push instead of pull.

Thanks Barry. That rack is now pushing £100 with delivery. Do you think it's better than the Craven version which is a tad cheaper?

couldnt really say which would be the best George. that one is a very strong rack but slightly on the small side now ive altered it. its probably ok to mount some indicators on, dont think it would be very practical as is. mind you looking around i saw a 15 ltr top box that would fit. just enough room for some spanners and a jam sandwich lol. on the adjusters i could fit some of the other type as Ian suggests so may fit those and keep the old ones for future ref
