Hello, cleaning up my old Navigator tank to prep for paint, the inside has a coating that looks like a green varnish, it is scratched so needs to be removed and replaced with some new gunge. Trouble is I have not come across a green tank sealant. It is a little brittle and has not given up much with the old nuts and bolts trick. Neither Acetone nor Celulose seems to touch it. Any ideas anyone?

Hi Andrew,
Yup me too as I have some 'unknown' powdery coating inside my 650 tank.
However, once the muck is out, will prep for a POR-15 tank reline kit. Used before, brilliant and sets like rock. Had inside my Commando Interstate tank for 4 years, no issues. I just kept a little back in a sealed tin. The following day inverted the tank and hand painted the tank sealer around the filler cap, then let the lot dry for at least a week in the summer and refitted. No issues since. Just all about the preparation, take your time and follow the instructions to the letter. A good quality hot air gun is mandatory!
