Dominator 88

Hi I'm restoring a Domininator 88 i have the old green log books

my frame nunber stamped on frame is 93294 but is written in the engine number box in log book

but frame number in the chassis box is 5604 do you think they are written in wrong?

Will i have a problem trying to register the bike with original reg number?

What are the prefix letters, stamped before the frame, and engine numbers? The bike may have been fitted with a replacement engine, some time in the past. Originally frame, and engine numbers would have been the same. Providing the numbers, on the bike, match those on the log book there should be no problem. The licensing authority has been notified of the change.

Hi Tim........can you post some pics showing the actual engine and frame numbers. 93294 would make one a 1961 produced part but 5604 would indicate something from 1946 which is pre-Dominator.

5604 might be the Factory Shop batch number which is generally found on the back left corner of the engine.

hello well this would make your machine october 1960 and this date with be stamp marked on the frame on the top edge of the top lug for the engine stay, you have to scratch off some paint on that top edge and its stamped in very small letter and numbers like this D/10/60 has my 1954 dominator is stamped D/4/54 and my Norton Manxman 650 is stamped M/12/60
