OHV singles camshaft identifications

Forums

Does anyone know for sure when the camshafts marked QLL (both inlet and exhaust) were used?
Were they always the same for M50, ES2 and 19S models in any given year?
Dimensionally they seem to be virtually identical to camshafts marked 528 and E28 which I presume were slightly later.  The QLL cams have a hole in the cam lobes as do the 16H (SV post 1948) have but it does not appear to serve any obvious purpose so presumably was deleted for the later camshafts.  Just asking out of curiosity as I hate not knowing the proper answer.  I'm sure that either can be used in any OHV engine!
