Can anyone tell me what the thread form the two attachment screws are on the battery box cover? The threads are in poor condition and putting thread tape on them isn't doing it for me any more. The screws are still ok but the bracket holes are almost stripped. Any help appreciated

Hello, dont know if this type of thing would help. with the correct nut fitted . mind you there,s nothing wrong with the glue idea, theres some strong types out there . barry

I met the same problem. Fished around for a pair of nuts that the screws would accept. Glued the nuts to the back of the brackets with Araldite, then greased the screws liberally and screwed the lid back on, tight.
A couple of days later I unscrewed the lid and built up the nut/bracket interface with more Araldite. Did this about 18months ago with no further problems met. I hope this helps.
