Has anyone bought & installed Donald Pender’s fork wipers? They look like an attractive solution to perishable rubber gaiters. I’ve had a search on the forum but I can’t see any reviews or photos.

To be fair any rubber bits I…
To be fair any rubber bits I’ve had from Andover have held up well so far - I’m just tinged from a pair of rubber gaiters I fitted to my BSA which have already started to crack after only seeing the road a couple of times!

Fork dust seals.
Hi Luke,
I haven't used these particular dust seals, but most Japanese bikes have this type of seal. The benefit of gaiters is the protection they give to the naked fork stanchions against stone damage and corrosion, as even hard chrome rusts. Modern sports bikes usually have plastic stanchion guards to stop stone damage as any burrs will cut into the oil seal.

BSA and Triumph ones made in…
BSA and Triumph ones made in Asia typically last a year before turning into a set of rings. Good Triumph ones are made by Les Harris and he may do the BSA ones, my good BSA ones have MCA embossed on them but Les make have BSA ones made in UK too.

Genuine Norton Commando gaiters last over 30 years and Andover Norton still sell them. Pattern BSA and Triumph made in Asia fall apart but good ones can be found, Harris make good ones.
