Hi all,
Re. rear brake pedal height adjuster. Foolishly, I didn't read the manual before slackening and turning the nuts B+C, thinking this would take up the slack in the pedal. I read the directive not to separate the B and C nuts (as per diagram in Haynes manual) after tinkering with them to attempt to reduce brake pedal movement; now the brake barely stops the wheel ! Has anyone any advice on what to do or what has happened please? The brake worked ok before I fiddled with it !

reverse your adjustment
Dear Chris,
In moving piston away from brake pedal you will have taken up some slack but also got to point where fluid cannot enter from reservoir in rest position, suggest you return locknut and piston rod back to original positions. If you don't know where they were try moving 1 turn at a time towards pedal pivot, locknut first then nut b. To check if position is ok remove reservoir cap and gently press pedal, you should see tiny upward squirt of fluid as you do this showing oil can freely move to pressure side of piston when pedal is in fully released position.
Only adjustment is for pedal height bu undoing locknut a and screwing rod in or out of clevis end.
Good luck
martin
