IHi,
I have recently aquired a 1937 16H Civilian Model. It is undergoing a full restoration by myself and is not in a complete condition. Can I apply for an age related number or do I have to have the bike totally completed before doing so?
Thank you for any advice,
Gary.

It has to be 'complete'…
It has to be 'complete' because you need photographs to go to the NOC officer, who will want to inspect, and those certified photographs will go to the DVLA, who may send an examiner. Whether it starts or the lights operate is another matter (!)

You can email the singles dating officer with the frame and engine number, he can check the dates and the despatch record's for which dealer it was sent to. It needs to be a UK dealer to avoid the need for a NOVA certificate. Once you have dates and a UK dealer then build the bike, then once completed apply for full dating cert to support age related plate from DVLA. No MOT needed.
