I Hope you will forgive me for starting a new thread but this is a slightly different issue.
What has been discussed at length on the other thread is how to check the wheels are in alignment. And also there has been some discussion of how to check that your rear wheel is central to the frame.
What has not been discussed is what to do if you find your rear wheel is NOT central.
I have always, since new, had to lean to one side to hold it straight with hands off. I measured the offset of the rear wheel compared to the rear frame loop and it is maybe 8mm off to one side.
This is an 850 MkIII so has a rear disk. Is there anything I can do to move the wheel to sit central ?
I am not suggesting I actually do anything to fix it, I have put up with it for 40 years. I am just interested if it is possible.

Doing a search on this sit…
Doing a search on this site will throw up threads on Commando frames being manufactured with swinging arm pivots, isolastic mounts etc out of line, so I would do some thorough research in that direction before you do anything.
A regular contributor on here until he got slung orf (!), Simon Ratcliffe had a carefully engineered fix for the problem. Others will no doubt guide you on this. Ian

I would align to the main frame tube in case the rear hoop is not a mirror from one side to other. To correct you would adjust spokes to move rim until its in center.
