WAR HORSE 16H

Hello, NOCs  I was wondering how many Norton16h war bikes went to North Africa  In ww2  AS that were My Uncle John   Served  In the desert of North Africa in Squids of 15 or so all on Norton 16h.s  fitted with light machine guns  and a hand grenade bar  and two Jerry cans  and K rations of 15 days  They go out in the early hour of the morning and hit the germans  as the was camping in the desert a hit and run operation and do as much damage as you could on the way through at a speed of 50 mph   with guns blazing and throwing hand genaades then ride like hell and find some where to hide in the sands  until the spotting planes had given up looking for you, my uncles Norton had bullet marks on the frame  one hit the water jerry can,  So as anyone  come across a 16h with war damage on the frame               yours  anna j
