I live in London and my bikes are registered with the DVLA as historic . Looking at the TFL sites it would appear that we do not need to do anything . I could not see any clear way of checking the situation .Acording to the TFL checking site my vehicle does NOT comply (perhaps thats because it does not have to !) Does anyone know better?.
Web site check is not fit…

What happens if you take a…
What happens if you take a bike on a trailer inside the ULEZ say to a Kempton Park event?
Also how far does this zone reach? Will it affect vehicles going to the Hayes Village Fair and Warlingham Classic Show?

ULEZ
I hope there are listeners out there and not those who cry conspiracy theorists or a wrong un! Without any research.
This experiment will spread like wild fire in conjunction with the 15/20 minute City prison camps.
If allowed to continue, only the mega rich will be driving and riding Norton's.
Do not comply.....Simples, or build your own prison. Freedom is a choice, rather like cash.

It will affect Warlingham …
Warlingham is clear if you approach from the south. TfL site has an interactive map you can check in detail.
All Nortons up to 1983 are free to enter the zone, since they are all taxed 'historic'
The theoretical health benefit is calculated by TfL consultant's report as 1.4%. Which is so far inside the range of uncertainty that it is negligible.
Khan claimed in Ealing last month that objectors are all "Brexiteers, Covid deniers and Tories". I know who he means. He should be prosecuted for such a statement.
For the time being, ride an old Norton. No ULEZ concerns...yet.

Tandridge District Council.
Warlingham is not GLC, it is Tandridge. Apparently there will be warning signs and the opportunity to turn round at the roundabout at the top of Sanderstead Hill for anyone who ventures too far and also at the far side of Farleigh Common.
Kenley is GLC though.
I shall have to be very careful when visiting my old dad in Warlingham with a foreign plated car. I simply shan't visit London or the suburbs any more.

ULEZ
Can't disagree, David.
But since Auto jumbles were mentioned earlier; how many traders take cards? None that I know of. Cash, use it or lose it.
& that includes NOC. What's wrong with a cheque or cash if you are local?
You won't need your Norton in a 15/20 minute city or other prison ghetto.
Already the electric sub motor will be taxed from 2025, I think. Will historic be next?

ULEZ boundries.
Hi all,
Looking at the proposed map for later this year, the boundries are not out as far as the M25. If you are coming from out-side the M25, Brooklands museum and Kempton Park will still be accesable with-out paying the new tax. I guess, if Khan gets this through, it may be extended over the next few years. Also this tax could be the last straw for viability of other family attractions inside the zone, so not only cost but disapointment will be there for us to look forward to.
As far as cash goes, yes I try to pay with cash in most shops I use, except large payments and I still use a cheque book. Just BTW, I went into a newsagents for a 90p daily paper and was offered the chance to pay by credit card !

Thanks Gents
Thank you all for a civilised debate on what may be awaiting us and our Norton's in the coming year or two. Comply and you are a part of the tyranny. Who voted for this? You aint seen nothing yet. The media are not showing you the push back and awakening. Remember, we have been under 'emergency measures since 17 March 2020.
You were told you can catch' IT' from cash. And now you can still get 'IT' and pass 'IT' on after the medical intervention. (Careful not to say more there).
You are right Richard C, credit card for everything, unless we say no and take our business elsewhere. Digital currency and digital ID on their way. Track and trace. Prisoners, not for me or my Norton's and MG's thanks.
PS: A cashless Auto Jumble? Dream on...

More Misery
Adding to the pleasure of riding through ULEZ Zones will be trying to find ethanol free fuel. It appears that Esso are going to end their production of Ethanol free Supreme Petrol before the end of this year. Another nail in the coffin!!!

No Esso E0
Thanks for reporting on this Philip. Use it or lose it. (Same with cash)
BP won't admit to E0 Ultimate, (Greenie image) though it does exist as Norman reported)
Then there is the expensive Aspen, Avgas and Anglo American racing fuel. (Big drum)

Not just London - other places exist too
The Glasgow ULEZ comes into force on 1 June, Edinburgh and others to follow. Now I will be looking for excuses to ride/drive my elderly vehicles through them just for the fun of it.

Bikes on trailers
Do you not in any case tape over the number plate on the bike?
Not doing so is a recipe for getting two speeding tickets for the price of one.

Incidentally... TfL ULEZ…
Incidentally... TfL ULEZ check site now DOES recognise and allow my 'historic' vehicles to appear compliant.

London
Gwilym,
I don't live in London, but I do feel for the people who have to put up with is rubbish. And besides, this will be coming to a place near you before very long, Just the start of it.
I wonder what they will be discussing at the Bilderberg meeting? (Chatham house rules) Not how to make your Norton run better, that's a certainty. Your life And Norton decided in secret.......

Web site check is not fit for purpose. If it is taxed as Historic, you don't have to pay. Allegedly, if you do try to pay after the event, it will refuse. You do not need to register.
I have no idea about other cities.
