Tri-Spark vs. Pazon?

Forums

Has anyone had first-hand experience with Tri-Spark or Pazon ignitions? Tri-Spark certainly are very proud of their products....but at the end of the day, are they all that much better than Pazon? I have no interest in racing my '72 single-carb 750, but would like a good running B-road ride.

Does anyone have any recommendations, either way?

Just replaced my aged (but servicable) Boyer with a Tri-Spark and matching digital dual coil unit. Now better starting, better tick over & uses less current.

It's a no brainer for me.....

I fitted the Tri-Spark Classic system about 18 months ago an it is great - best feature is the anti-kickback system - the bike has NEVER kicked-back since I fitted it.

Thanks Chaps - guess I'll just have to save a bit longer for the Tri-Spark - sounds like I'll be happier with that unit.

Randy,

Just to confuse things, for a road bike i expect that you would be happy with either choice.

A mate has just fitted a (Surefire?) Pazon and it was an easy install, fired up straight away and ran sweetly on the prelim setup - before getting the timing light out to refine it.

Not quite the bling factor of everything hidden in the points housing but very effective none the less. Pazon also have the new Altair system out now if you pockets are a bit deeper.

Randy Lennox, Steve Adkins, Mark Woodward & Iain Brown have had some dialogue regarding choosing an electronic ignition system:

Greetings gents,

I just wanted to say how refreshing it has been for me to read this thread, with its calm & pragmatic input.

The various issues presented on this forum have covered a fair range of topics and I welcome seeing different perspectives aired.

While those may be enough to make that poor 'cat' nervous, the tendancy for conversations here to deteriorate into handbag-fights has been disappointing.

I really think the squabbling that goes on here has toan extent been a result of the stupid, free software and the negative frame of mind a poster will be in by the time he or she actually getsa message to post. But then there will inevitably be those who seem to have the raison-d'Ã?tre of stirring things up and resorting to those transparent techniques such as picking holes in somone's grammar or spelling, just to take a pop.

I'm guilty of going off-topic here and I apologise for that

If anyone feels the need to tell me off for putting my head up, then out of courtesy to Randy Isuggest you should do it in a fresh thread.

Fill yer boots!

Nice going, lads.

Randy, I hope you get what you need

Paul. Still with my 29 year old Boyer system + a good selection of very healthy K2FC, K2F and BTH KC2 mags.
