I bought a couple of tank water transfers from the club but they just fell apart once they got wet, I could see the cracks in them before I started - at £1.50 I'm not worried about the price but need to source something a bit better, are the stick on transfers any better?

Hi Dan,
Maybe you should make contact with Neil or Ian at NOC spares as they probably aren't aware of any problems with the transfers.
I got stickers years ago for the race MGB (now in retirement) from a Ebay supplier called ' I say Ding Dong' who is still in business. He did/does all sorts of car/bike stickers so very probably does Norton tank stickers. Could be worth a look as he is still on Ebay.
The stickers I received were good quality and remained firmly attached without fading despite some hard useage.

I've bought from Classic Transfers in the past and been very happy. They are waterslide which I preffer as they sit flatter on the tank than the stick on type

I don't know about club but I do know that some transfers that I didn't use and sat in a drawer for a few years did crack. My 16H tank transfers were water slide from Classic Transfers and went on fine. They do a surprisingly wide variety of Norton tank side transfers - I never realised how many different versions there are of what looks at first glance like the same thing.I didn't attempt to lacquer them. If they do get damaged or come off they'll be easier to replace anyway. They've been OK for a couple of years so far.I read somewhere that original Commando ones weren't lacquered for much the same reason - allegedly.

Hi Dan
I prefer the stick on decals myself, I've only ever had problems with the water slide transfers.
