Stuck Ccl. Head

Hi James, On a dommy I used to slacken the head bolts and rev the engine!, If that did not w not work ,a bit of wood under the exhaust port and a whack with the hammer, But not near near fins.

Make absolutely sure you have removed all the head studs first- there are a couple of concealed ones !. If Robert's method doesn't work you are definitely in trouble but they normally come off as you kick it over.

Maybe you have it done. The most elegant solution I saw was:-

Remove a spark plug. (there are 6 securing nuts on each lightweight cy/head)

Make sure the piston is near the bottom of its stroke.

Stuff rope into the spark plug hole till the cylinder is full.

Turn the engine with the kickstart.

Cylinder pops up. No damage done.
