Re: New Wiring Loom Install to 73 MK1 Commando No 305343

Forums

Hi All

Purchased a new wiring loom as above and as no diagram was included with purchase from Andover Norton I'm coming up against problems with so many spare wires.

I have a Boyer Powerbox PBOX00108 fitted so presumably all Regulator/Rectifier, Coils and what looks like double zener diode wires are redundant.

I have every conceivable wire diagram that's available from the world but I'm still struggling. I'd add pic's but mine are to large to include.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank You

Kind Regards Malcolm

Instructions can be found on the Boyer Bransden and RGM Norton sites.

It replaces the rectifier and the zener diode so disconnect both. Frequently mounted where the rectifier was. Two feeds in from alternator. Two out to the battery. Capacitor can be left in. Disconnect the charging warning light simulator if you have one..

Harnesses come with wires for police horns and lights so.not all are used.

If you are replacing the main loom on grounds of age you might as well put in a new lead from the timing cover as they tend to harden and break internally between static frame and vibrating engine. Only a matter of time.
