Yes, pictures may not be accurate.
The picture is from the RAC website, showing a 1961 ES2 combination.
It seems that from the mid fifties most British car manufacturers used blue paints with codes starting with BU.
For example Glacier Blue BU4.

Hi Bennie,
I was looking at one of these outfits today in the Brooklands Museum and the colour of the bike in your picture looks too dark, although it might not have reproduced accurately in this picture.
