I’ve just seen that Peter Williams passed away peacefully over the weekend. Sad news indeed. RIP Peter.

I spoke to him a few times…
I spoke to him a few times. Once I told him that I remembered a piece that he had wrote in MCN, that he was riding through the trees on the IOM, and the sun light was flashing flashing through, on and off, bright then dark,,, and he felt an out out of body experience, above what he was doing.
I told him that everytime I ride through trees and get that on/off flashing I thought of him and that piece he wrote. The conversation made him happy and we shook hands.
That's my recollection of the Great Peter Williams.

Really sorry to learn of Peter's death. He presented me with my "best 2 stroke" award at the Bristol Show in 2018. I talked to him for some time when he was on the Norton stand and found him to be really interesting in his views on all things engineering and racing. Another hero lost.
