Hi,
I have the timing cover off to check the cam chain tension on my 69 Commando.
I noticed Norvil used to offer a mod to fit a check ball and spring inside the cover.
I have asked them to confirm if they still offer this service.
Has anyone had this mod done (ref WB12) and did it work?

Norton oil pump & wet sumping
Drawing of the Nortech mod (now out of business?) that was done to Frank D. oil pump and cover,
worth doing if your pump is not up to snuff. AMR may be doing this mod now. Sorry for bad drawing. 1/4" ball and spring inserted into cover in oputlet passage. They also put o-rings on the shafts.
It would seem Norvil does it too.

I have copied the AMR approach which is more extensive as it blocks 3 potential routes not just one and uses a ball instead of a plunger. As on the MK3's the plunger can jam in the galley and not seal.
1. Exit of pump blocked by ball or plunger.
2. Movement of oil from feedside to return side along gear shafts in pump and then to sump sealed with O or X rings.
3. Return of timing cover OPRV drain route from Commando pre MK3 version to MK3 and Atlas and before route.
