As far as gearboxes go, there are early ones kicking about, later ones are harder to find. 

Ebay can come up trumps sometimes too.

i bought a load of bits from someone who had finished their project, that gave me a big pile of parts to work with, I’ll be doing the same when I’ve finished my Navigator.
