A friend of mine has a 40's 16H with a new Monoblock carb & adapter.
Not sure which company he bought it from but it doesn't want to run now, plugs wet indicating a rich mixture.
Has anyone done the conversion ,if so what jets are suggested.
Thanks

The 376 was fitted by a previous owner and as it turns out the modified adapter is welded to the head. no choice but to run a 376.

Infamous Stayup float?
Known to jam or stick down and make it run rich. 2nd float cover gasket 'cured' mine.

No mention of changing the plug? Has he run it successfully in the past? If so, and nothing has changed then the carb is not likely to go wrong.

or no spark.
So check for spark before blaming the carb.
If you have good spark.
Pilot jet should be a 25 for a 4 stroke and the pilot circuit is the circuit used in starting with a closed or slightly open throttle. Turn the pilot air screw out 1.5 turns as a get you started figure and retune on a warm engine.
