If i ride in winter rain I often used to get condensation in the speedo and ampmeter. can't be good for the delicate workings. I now use an art brush to paint a little wax oil rust protector round the glass rim and mounting to the shell , this dries to a semi solid and a wipe with tissue cleans off any excess . Underneath tinware also gets a coat , My stitched seat cover top beading gets a brush in the stitching and the excess just wiped off with a tissue. I recently had a stoppage on the diesel van when it drew in air at one of the many plastic filter pipe joints. A brush round all the fittings stopped the air getting in and even if a little gets sucked into the system it wont give an issue . Very usefull stuff ,

Light bulbs
Good tips from you both.
I have found that LED bulbs are actually bad for human health. (What else are they going to try and kill us with) But the heat generated from the old bulbs, even 2 W can be as effective as a space heater. Turns out the only instrument that mists up is the one with the LED.
Will try the wax oil method, that might help.

I can't use LED's on my 99 …
I can't use LED's on my 99 as they don't use enough current to keep my battery and zener from cooking !!. Not the usual problem for a 99 !. The extra current is needed for hot clothing .

Stick to normal incandescent bulbs in the clocks. The 2 watts does not sound like much but does help keep them dry.
