I have an oil leak ( who doesn't ! ) on my 1956 Dominator 99 from the kickstart shaft which appears from between the base of the tubular shroud adjacent to the kickstart lever and the outer case. According to the exploded parts drawing , there is no seal to prevent any leakage. Is there any dodge to prevent the oil weep or do I have to live with it ?

I fill the gearbox to it's overflow plug. Perhaps I should reduce the oil level a tad but I am not so sure. Any advice please.

Hallo George ,

look at  that  drawing  again ! There should be a felt sealing ring in the corner of the kick shaft . I didn't this for a long time either , so I turned an insert  into the shaft  for an O-ring . .
