Do I have the correct shock shocks.
The bush in the top of the shock absorber in the frame opening is as wide as the opening, the metal bit holding the bush is not as wide as the opening, is this correct. Don,t want the shock sliding on the bush.
Shocker top mount
Hi John,
The bush in the shock absorber top mount should be a snug fit between the cheeks of the frame bracket.
The metal bit holding the bush will be a couple of mm narrower than the centre 3/8 bush. This allows for good shock absorber action even if the swinging arm lower mounts are a bit wider/narrower/misaligned.
NOC spares were selling shocks suitable for lightweight where the 3/8 bush in the top of the shock was too narrow. If you get one of these, correct by using a 3/8 spacer or washers on the inside of the shocker mount. You should similarly space the lower mounting out by the same.
By spacing the shocker out you stop these rogue shockers rubbing the chainguard.

PS Just seen your picture. Looks good to me.

Top mount shock
Hi Peter
Thanks for your reply.
The bush length in my shock is 28mm and that's a snug fit in the frame top bracket, the the part holding the bush is 17mm making 5.5mm either side of the shocks top mount, does this look too much. Once the bottom of the shock is fixed there should be little side ways movement. For what its worth I will fix some spacers, but still allow a bit of movement.
Thanks
John.

Top mount shock
John Dunn picture is correct - the metal insert of the bush is wider (snug fit) than the top loop of the shocker itself - same at the bottom. 3/8" dia hole both ends, too - unlike Dommi that has 5/16" at one end.
