Hello,
I'm just wondering if anybody has ever sourced brake shoe return springs for the John Tickle TLS. I can't find anything similar fitted to other shoes. In fact the Tickle springs look a lot more slender than others. I also need to replace the felt washers too. Any ideas would be appreciated.

hello again - from memory it looks very like an 8inch Single-sided hub Gold Star brake spring. The single-sided hub pre-dated the 190mm full-width hub on Gold Stars. I'll see if I can find one for an image. Cheers, Howard

Unity Equipment in Rochdale bought John Tickle and I think Andy Molnar in Preston bought Unity - so I'd start with Mr Molnar. Another brake expert is Dick Hunt Racing in Surrey. He's be worth a call. Put an image of the spring on the Forum and see if anyone recognises them. Good luck, howard
