Good evening all,
I’ve today fitted a new seal kit to my standard master cylinder on my 72 roadster as fluid was weeping out.
All has gone well until the dreaded bleed…I have a 14” disc with an AP racing caliper fitted. I’m getting loads of air & fluid out but no brake action, nothing. All the brake line connections are tight on the Goodridge hoses. I’ve taken the caliper off the fork leg and I’m going to have another go tomorrow with it “upside down”.
There’s two bleed nipples on the caliper so I’m assuming I must bleed both? Do I have to do one before the other?
I'm hoping this will help but if I’m barking up the wrong tree please let me know!
Advice would be most welcome,
Thanks………Shaun.

AP Racing calipers have multiple tappings to allow for various fitting orientations. Normally you will put the brake pipe into one at the top on the outside, a bleed screw also on the top on the inside and blank off the other holes. If you have two bleed screws then you can just ignore the one on the side the pipe enters (maybe come back to it right at the end).
Then bleed in the usual way - bleed screw open, pull lever back and hold, bleed screw closed, release lever, repeat. If you can't get any initial pressure in the system try pumping the lever with the bleed screw closed or tying the lever back and going for a cup of tea.
If you continue to get lots of air in the fluid then either: 1) the plastic 'drain' pipe you put on the bleed screw doesn't fit very well or 2) the level in the revervoir is dropping too low before you add more fluid.
And if you still can't bleed it, the master cylinder might need some attention.
