I'm fitting new Metzeler tyres to one of my bikes ME22 universal fit, these are cheap and can be fitted front or rear and are a modern profile if not the latest thing. I got 2 tyres for £70 . Could not remember whether the tube needed a dished washer and a nut inside the tyre,I took some time checking this out and everyone seems to have a different idea.In the end I decided on dished washer and a nut as the valve is steel and not fully bonded to the tube as car tubes are. Also a nut on the outside as apparently the valve can and does move in and out in use . If rim locks are in use no need to worry about valves being torn out in the event of puncture.Had to warm the tyre by a radiator to get it flexible enough to fit.Bet it only lasts half as long as Avons. No excuse now for chicken strips!.
Nice looking tyre, https:/…

Hi Dan,Looking at the Make…
Hi Dan,Looking at the Makers rating system it appears that the tyre has low ratings ,however one has to take into account this is a superceeded model being sold at discounted prices and they want you to buy the much more exspensive ones!!.

Hi John, Fitting to a 250…
Hi John, Fitting to a 250 Ducati a Mark 3 Narrow case, The fastest single cylinder roadster Ducati ever made. 2.75 X18 front 3.00x18 rear, slightly oversize from standard. I think the tyres are only rated to 93mph so I'll just only be able to ring its neck in 3rd, fourth and fifth will be for cruising!!.Out on the 99 today BRRRR, 2 degrees,60 miles was enough.
