thank you. Kelvin.

Hi Kelvin,
I always used a good 20/50 in my Jubilee and Navigator's engine and gearbox back in the day - Duckhams Q for many years but Halfords Classic car 20/50 for the last 5 years or so with good results. On recommendation from a very experienced classic car and motorbike engineer I recently started using Morris 20/50 golden film from their classic range in my Navigator and their EP90 gearbox oil which has made the gearbox far quieter and the engine seems a little smoother. Totally subjective but it works for me!

Hello and thank you for the advice, I have filled the engine up and after a very long layup the bike was started last night, started second kick, well impressed, itâs charging well and a good return of oil, so itâs just in need of a new pair of tyres and then itâs off for itâs retest to go back on the road.
cheers Kelvin

Hello Kelvin,
Yes I would agree that 20w/50 is suitable for a Navigator engine. Back in the early sixties 20/50 (Duckhams) multi -grade oil was the " in " item to use among the sporty crowd although Norton at the time would have recommended a "straight single grade oil ". Now 20/50 is quite hard to obtain; so use your Morris oil unless you have some reason to think otherwise.
