Hi, I was wondering if anyone has fitted a DID 530VX chain or similar to a Commando MK3 (or any Commando for that matter) and if so did it fit without any contact being made on the primary case or chain guard? As far as I can tell from various forum discussions it should fit but would like to double check with others before I purchase one.

I don't know about Mk IIIs,…
I don't know about Mk IIIs, but previous discussion on this site suggests that 530 O- or X-ring chains might be problematic on earlier models.
See also the discussion here, including a link to the 520 conversion kits offered by Holland Norton Works for all Commando variants, including Mk IIIs.
