I'm searchin for a stem mounted mirror with a convex glass, rectangular or round.
Any idea?

My Triumph street triple has a decent pair of mirrors and many owners get rid of them to fit dinky little bar end ones, so they regularly come up on ebay for not much. I think they would look ok on a Norton. (I did have to make up a 1" extension to get a view past my elbows)

Try looking for Lambretta or Scooter mirror heads, all the ones I have seen have flat mirrors but at least most of them are stem fit so worth trying to track a convex down.

Might be worth checking the Halcyon website. They certainly have a fair selection of mirrors.

That's an excellent suggestion. I've ordered this one: http://classicpartsltd.com/829-replacement-mirror-head.html

Thanks Gordon/Fritz, that looks as if it will do the job. I shouldn't have missed that one, but nevertheless, I did. They'll wonder why the sudden interest in their mirrors. I couldn't find anything similar at Stafford last April - embarrassing as I believe Halcyon had a stand there!

I don't know why this type of mirror isn't a requirement in our scene.
But anyhow, Chris and me got a solution, thanks Gordon.

I'm glad they aren't compulsory - I hate the things for giving confusing distance information. I'd rather move my head a little bit sideways.

I've received mine rigth now.It makes a good impression to me.The clamp and the associated screw is made of stainless steel and looks very stable. The mirror itself is mounted in the housing with a rubber edge.

Just fitted a Halcyon bar…
Just fitted a Halcyon bar end mirror to my 16H - after scary moment on A3 with van unexpectedly passing far too close...
It's convex (annoyingly as far as I'm concerned). Very well made. I already have one on my Dommie - after wasting money on no less than two previous cheap ones that either broke or refused to stay in the right place.
Just a warning: the (prewar?) bars on my bike have such thick walls that the hole is only 17mm. The plug on the mirror is 17.5mm or thereabouts. So I ended up mounting the three parts on a mandrel in a small lathe and turning it down to fit. It's very easy since those bits are alloy. But would be a bit of a problem without a lathe.
I've no idea how thick bars usually are. But I doubt if they many are asthick as mine nowadays.
Before the 1950's, nobody used mirrors on motorbikes. So whatever I do is going to be wrong. But the round ones look better to me on an older machine.
