Has anyone fitted a flip-up (ie Commando) type petrol cap onto a Slimline tank? RGM sell a locking flip cap (060681K) I know you can get locking “normal” caps, but what with the faffing about with a loose cap, the price of petrol and all….I'm guessing there's some sort of collar needs to be fitted to the existing flange?

... and not even a Norton but I'm fitting one of these to the CX500 tank I'm putting on my Honda XBR500 to make it a bit more aesthetically pleasing. They do an adaptor for the cap although I've had to make my own. Decent quality and reasonable price - there are 2 versions, 2" and 2.5".
