Is this change of venue st…
Is this change of venue still going to happen? I am happy to attend if it is still on.
Until about 15 years ago the Wickham meet was a great event, attended by bike riding enthusiasts. Then it got swamped by the car-born gawpers and the road-rocket biker brigade.

Interested in this meet too, so have dug the dominator out of hibernation in preperation. Although i will pass wickham square on the way to Bishops Waltham, the square is far too jammed with cars and tractors! Hope the Triumph owners will be friendly. Heavy rain forecast though...

The Boxing day run to Wick…
The Boxing day run to Wickham in Hampshireâ?..A 10 mile run for me. The Square was packed solid with nosh vans, modern vehicles, the odd classic and hundreds of bodies. Someone had even dragged a very large calibre field gun along and parked it down the centre of the road. As is usual, nowadays, inconsiderate parking made spotting a small patch to safely leave my Norton proved impossible. Plan B was the alternate Classic Motorcycle meeting point, in Bishops Waltham, 5 miles further North. This had been organised by another Ownerâs Club and so here I met up with 11 other enthusiasts. This gathering was dominated by Triumph machines, of all ages, but eventually 3 Nortons, 3 Matchless and a few other makes had swelled the numbers to 20 plus. After an hour a chatting to various people I had to return to work so departed, intending to pass through Wickham once again, just in case any other people that I knew had managed to join the throng. This was not the best of moves as the roads were totally gridlocked, starting half a mile outside of the town.
Somebody needs to come up with a better alternative to this post Christmas calamity in Wickham Squre. There must have been 20 modern vehicles present to every single Classic that had attended.....and why so many food/drink trailers on-site this year???
