Belt tension for primary

Help can anyone advise me on correct primary drive belt tension for a dominator 88

Assuming you do mean belt and not chain, and that you dont have the suppliers recommendation: tight enough that theres no perceptible up and down play as you would with a chain, slack enough to permit the belt to be (just) twisted through 90 degrees.

For a belt drive with aluminium pulleys, I find the best approach is to tension the belt with a hot engine after a run so that you have about 5-10mm up/down in the middle of the top run.

Thanks I thought it was around that tension but not sure I will adjust to that speck At the moment I have a lot of transmission back lash
