ANOTHER SILLY BUT USEFUL TIP THAT WORKS

Dear Members,

In the past I have experienced the primary chain impacting the electrical cabling from the alternator stator on my ‘60 ES2. To remedy this I drilled two small holes in the upper lip of the primary chain case and cable tied the electrical lead so it would not touch the primary chain.

During my recent engine rebuild it was necessary to dismantle the whole of the primary drive. The alternator cable was absolutely unscathed from when I first made the modification about three years ago.
