1972 Combat engine plate spacers.

Forums

Hello out there. Can anyone tell me the width (thickness) of the spacers between the rear engine frame/lugs (3off) that sit inboard of the engine/gearbox sub frame assembly please.

As per the heading they are for my 1972 Combat. The bike must have come to me with all three

but I cannot find the said items anywhere in my box of bits.

Any help with this query would be most welcome and would keep the build momentum up

Best Rgds.

Find the part number using Andover Norton

https://andover-norton.co.uk/en/shop-drawings/4

then stick them in the part dimensions online database

http://www.gregmarsh.com/mc/FastenersList.aspx and hopefully the spacer size will be listed.

Hi John. Thanks for the valuable information as ever. There aren't any spacers!!

I went onto Greg's site (excellent!) and looked over the Combat builds that he has put up on his site which shows the engine in situ harnessed to the sub assembly and quite clearly shows no spacers are used in this area!

Finding this out I started to measure the subframe and found that it has splayed out quite evenly towards the front by roughly 4.5mm at each bolt site top to bottom hence my assumption spacers where required.

Rgds.

Paul.
