I have some Wassel knee grips which I have tried to fit. They don't fit very well and would need glue as well as the 2 screws to make them follow the shape of the tank. Can anyone point me in the direction of a better made knee grip that will fit, or do they all require adhesive.
Knee grips.

Knee grips
Andrew,
I have the same problem.
Can you post how you resolved the issue so I can get a pair that fit.
Thanks

I've got them.
All I purchased a set of Jeff Hunter knee grips. They fit perfectly but God they were expensive! Cost about $150 AUD including postage to Australia.
I'm not sure the condition of my bike warranted the expense but every time I looked at the Wassel items I cringed!
I hope they are still on the bike when I'm finished with it.

They should have metal…
They should have metal plates moulded inside. Have you tried bending them to fit the curves of the tank? Maybe try some hot water to soften the rubber?

Jeff's items...
.. although they can be pricey are top quality and always fit.

Hi Andrew,
Try Jeff Hunter Engineering who can also supply footrest, clutch, fork shroud and most other rubber parts for your bike. These knee grips changed a couple of times through the '50s so make sure they are the correct ones for your tank.
