If you don’t want to drill the bars then I’d recommend a discrete LED setup, that’s what I intend to fit to my Navigator when I get around to it! 

Fitted indicators to a 99 DL and a late Atlas. Normal tungsten on 99 and LED on the Atlas with multifunction bar switch.  Both systems work ok. the led bulbs are  probably more reliable,but the positive earth made   things a bit more confusing  to wire up. (I am easily confused by electrics.).

John Dunn asked 'do I have to drill the bars?' Thinking along Electra lines which had bar end winkers. But not drilled to my knowledge. I very much doubt you will find the original bar end winkers. But I do have a set that fitted the ends of a 'badge' bar. It turns out they screw into a threaded 'mount' in the end of the bar but there will be a small hole in the bar to pass the wires into the Handlebar. Then of course you can't fit a bar end mirror, nor can you chuck the bike by its handle bars against a wall! I didn't fit such indicators!

Pattern Electra indicators have been produced, But like AO  I am not a fan, for the same reasons.

Not happy with the idea of flimsy indicator stalks replacing my sturdy HL bolts I have drilled the shell close to the rim  . I used to worry about orriginality ,but most things change in the real world.

These Regs give the minimum spacings for indicators front and rear for vehicles used on or after 1st April 1986.  Not applicable to most of our old nails (Sorry!  Cherished Classics!) but it's worth considering because if they are too close together they aren't much use as direction indicators to the aforementioned "Boy Racers".  It might be a good idea to heed the minimum spacings of 300mm front and 240mm rear.

As the name suggests this supplier is mostly car-focussed, although of course there is a lot of dual-use stuff on offer. It's worth sending for their A4 format catalogue, which has excellent illustrations, useful for sorting out obscure queries about hydraulic fittings, for example.
