Do it yourself. You'll need…
Do it yourself.
You'll need 2 split shaft collars 1 1/8" ID available on Ebay or any Engineering bearing supplier. A couple of bolts or cap screws of a length to screw through the clamp plus a bit or more for clamping and lock nuts if you want.
Each collar will need one side drilled and threaded, use the same thread Dia/size as the collar clamping bolts. Fit one onto either side spindle tube and nip in place with the drilled and threaded holes accessible. Using the tapping drill carefully drill through spindle tube using the threaded holes in the clamps as a guide. Remove the clamps and drill the holes out to the thread clearance size. Refit the collars taking care that the spindle tube holes line up Tighten up the clamps then fit and tighten up the bolts. You might want to use a couple of lock nuts.
If you can position the clamps as the Mk3 850.
I've done this successfully a couple of times and I know I have the instructions some where but sadly can't find them. I've probably wrote a load of gobbledy gook but with a bit of luck you should find proper instructions on the internet or at least work it out yourself it's not rocket science.
Best of luck Dave.
