Southern Branch Ride Out - Sammy Millers
Hi all,
We hope as many as possible can join us for a ride to Sammy Millers museum in the New Forest on Saturday 25th May.
West Sussex Branch will leave the Black Horse PB Findon on the A24 at 09:00.

West Sussex (and others) will be meeting up with the Isle of Wright Branch at the Loomies Bike cafe just off the A272 at 10:30, then soon after 11:00 head off to Sammy Millers.
Loomies Moto Cafe: Alton Road, West Meon GU32 1JX

We should arrive at the museum around just after noon, a couple of hours at the museum, leaving around 3pm.
Sammy Miller Museum: Bashley Cross Roads, New Milton, Hampshire, BH25 5SZ
We will just use A and B roads (A272, A3090, etc) avoiding any motorways.
I hope East Sussex, Surrey, Solent, Kent and any others can join us at any of the points above.
Best Regards - Paul R Smith West Sussex Branch.

I would like to attend this…
I would like to attend this event and travel down with the W Sussex mob. This is a bit of a long run for me as still recovering from ops etc. Is there any known local Band B's etc (New forest area) if I get too knackered to safely ride back home to Kent?. Oh crap ,just realised its a Bank Holiday ,will all be booked up or silly prices.

It makes no difference
The New forest villages and surrounding approaches have narrow roads and don't lend themselves to filtering, as a local I will avoid the New Forest at weekends especially in the spring and summer seasons. Then there are the foreigners, and the horses / donkey's / cattle to contend with. For such a nice place you need 6th 7th 8th senses all working during the summer months when riding there.

This is a really good suggestion for a combined Branches ride.
The downside is the date chosen. Bank Holiday weekends in the New Forest are driving hell and best avoided if at all possible. Cadnam, Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst all choke up with visiting caravans, campervans and cyclists at that time of the year. This is probably why the Sammy Miller spring autojumble is generally held a few weeks beforehand and not on the later Bank Holiday weekend.
