Hello all,
From memory the number of teeth on the steel drive gear for Nortons (non-magdyno models) has 22 teeth, is that correct? I can't seep to find it in writing anywhere. My Lucas books dont give a part number for the gear, neither does my Model 7 parts book.
Thoughts?

Yes, Model 7 dynamo gear is 23t. In about 2004 my dad and I had to make one, since I could not buy a correct lucas one anywhere. Well, I now know they are a Norton part D12/1013 not Lucas. Les at Norvil had a batch made and sent me one for testing. They may still have some.
Listed in the 1955 M7 parts book pg 6 item TA/100

Thanks Gents! I missed the part number on the "Plate TA" in my parts book, as it is not shown in its normal place. It does list it as D12/1013.
Les does have some (I ordered two), his part number is:
121013 GEAR - DYNAMO MODELS 7, 88, 99 - ON DYNAMO
Whats uniqe here is not only the 23 teeth, but also the recess on one side for the bolt head & the spacer built into the back.

I took the gear off my '57 Model 77, I assume it is the same gear on all non-magdyno Nortons?
