K2FC points access 650 SS

After struggling to set the timing I realised it was too far advanced due to the points gap being too big. However adjusting points with the primary case blocking access and properly tightening up could be a lot easier with a bolt instead of a screw to fix the ponts . Is this something  others have done ? Is there a Lucas part ? any idea what thread , Its the late type points arrangement.
