Can anyone confirm in 1955 that the ES2 shared a common petrol tank with the Matchless G80S.
Having trouble finding ES2 tank so thought it may be an option to find one from Matchless.

David

I have ready for re-assembly a 57 pre F/bed Model 50. (Still no engine plates) Acouple of years ago I was given the chrome tank panels from an AJS of a similar vintage. I was told that these were the same as the 19S, ES2 and model 50 of that time. Only difference is that the two holes for the tank badges arecloser together than on the Norton. I offered the plates up to the tank and they were a perfect fit.
Thanks for the info Neil .... (obviously from good stock!)
