Hello,
I have another question for people who may know? I have seen that the end of the push rod that rides in the cam follower is worn showing a dimple in the end, were these hardened? as they do not seem to be?

Normally the reason is it wasn't seated correctly in the pan on top of the camfollower and rode on its rim for a while until it either dropped in place or someone noticed.
