Speedometer repair

Hi all.

The speedo on my MK3 commando is in need of refurbishment. Can anyone recommend someone who can carry out this work. It would be handy if they are in the South East but, I will post nationally if not.

I've always found Ian Bartrum does a good job.  He used to give a discount to Ariel Owners Club members !!  He's on 01502476612 and in Beccles , Suffolk.  Cheers, Howard

I spoke to Ian, he does not repair magnetic type speedometers which he told me are fitted to bikes after 1963. Always useful to know these people for any future projects.

I spoke to Ashley Pople, sounds good, £93 and returns speedo in a week, I’m using the bike at the moment so, I will have to use the seaweed hanging by the back door to predict a wet weekend to send it off to him.
