Hi everyone,
Im just about to purchase a MKIV Boyer ignition for my 73 Commando, anyone know the best combination of spark plug and plug cap to use?
NOC shop shows a N7YC plug and a 10ohms Champion plug cap, is this best?. Am presuming the 10ohms plug cap is resistored and plug isnt.
Thanks for any info before i order. Matt
No need for resistors in…
No need for resistors in either plug or cap with an analogue Boyer.

I have understood that most…
I have understood that most new plugs are now the resistor type , In which case you may need to consider the total resistance of plug and cap . I think about 10k is about right unless you have a magneto.

Seriously, just use ngk…
Seriously, just use ngk plugs, so much better, and plug caps. Never had any problems with my Boyer.

Hi Matthew, I have had no problem with silicon leads. Also been OK with copper leads & Champion Caps. Plugs are Champion N7YC.
