Further to my previous post regarding replacement of the drive side seal can someone advise the way to remove the sprocket? I have a three leg puller which I thought would pull the sprocket off the shaft fairly easily but its not.

Norton (shelleys) Pre-Commando ,produced a small very solid powerfull 2 legged puller made just for that job. Try Russel Motors (Les) or try to borrow one. Not usually found from current stockists.A commando one might work if you could drill and tap the sprocket for it.

Keep the puller under tension an go for a beer or so. After a while the cranck would release the sprocket together with the puller.
